Late last year we were raving about Sacramento post-punk outfit E S S and their debut S/T ep. We recently took a trip up north to shoot this quick stripped down session of a new track “Sugar Engine”. This video is also proof that while filling a small room full with smoke may look cool, it may not be all that good for your health…

Well, 2012 has been a great year for music in my opinion. As I imagine you have sifted through a couple million year-end lists at this point, I will refrain from making another joke about the Tupac Hologram orKe$ha’s ectoplasmic sexual orientation and keep this banter to a minimum. I have compiled all of my favorite tracks, Music Videos, EP’s / Mixtapes, and Albums into on gigantic post. The selection and order of the top Albums is taken directly from my personal iTunes analytics, as I felt that to be the most honest way to compile that list.

I would like to say thank you to everybody who has continued to watch our videos, support the site, send us stuff, engage, and just be awesome in general throughout 2012. And another GIGANTIC thank you to Cathy over at Sargent House for her continued support, and the entire Sargent House squad for being awesome. So, without anymore rambling and horrible grammar, here is a giant list of my most favorite things that happened this past year…
